Aether is the result of a series of studies and experimentation in geometric symmetry, dynamic particles and interactivity on a large multi-touch screen that explores techniques for manipulating a digital sculpture through user interaction. It is inspired by the work of Quayola, as well as by similarly inspired modernist cubist works, such as "Sitting Nude" by Picasso and the classical French painter Poussin.
Users can alter geometry and physics, which changes the representation of objects from different points of view. The study sources are various nebula images taken from the Hubble Space Telescope. These images are exposed in an abstract way, in addition, it is possible to manipulate the digital information in real time with the touch of the users.
The piece was solved by means of projections on a transparent glass surface and a large-format multitouch surface as a means of interaction as well as generative visuals using a programming code.
