SUBMERGE

Immersive Installation Inspired by Pantone Color of the Year 2020

Curated and produced by ARTECHOUSE in collaboration with INTUS Interactive Design.

February 5 - February 23, 2020

Artechouse New York City.

How do we experience color? How can colors elicit complex responses and connections? ARTECHOUSE NYC opens its 2020 season with an immersive exploration of color, inviting visitors to descend into the sights, sounds and feelings of PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue.

Imprinted in our psyches as a restful color, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge. This multi-sensory installation seeks to do the same as the color itself, centering our thoughts, aiding concentration and fostering resilience while immersing visitors into a realm of boundless blue, evocative of the infinite evening sky at dusk, the vastness of deep, serene ocean waters, and the limitless reflections in the rain.
PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective, open the flow of communication and connect to others.

The multi-sensory installation, curated and produced by ARTECHOUSE in collaboration with Intus Interactive Design, is an extension of the experience the team developed for Pantone's Color of the Year 2020 reveal event in December 2019, which unveiled PANTONE 19-4052, Classic Blue.

Submerge is on view from February 5th - 23rd, just in time for New York Fashion Week, as well as the Pantone Color Institute's release of the top stand-out colors we can expect to see on the runway as fashion designers introduce their new collections for autumn/winter 2020/2021.
